Former Newcastle United manager Sam Allardyce is prepared to once again change allegiance and revert back to Wearside to take charge of Sunderland. Allardyce who spent 8 months on Tyneside has admitted that after nearly a year long break he is keen to get back into management with Newcastle's rivals Sunderland in his sights.
The former Sunderland player told The Sun;
"Sunderland are a great club so of course I would be interested in talking to them.
I have huge respect for the chairman Niall Quinn and the job he has done.
I enjoyed the year I had at Sunderland and also when I did some coaching work there under Peter Reid.
I also know how passionate the fans are about their team."

I disagree. I hope Sam does take the Sunderland post and his overrated ass takes them directly into the fizzy pop league.
