Hughton Delighted At Beye Return

The official Newcastle United website has confirmed that Habib Beye will return for tomorrow's evening clash with Arsenal. The 31 year old Senegalese defender feared he would be ruled out for up to 4 months after sustaining ankle ligament damage on Boxing Day from a run in with Wigan's Lee Cattermole, but he will now meet his target of a return against Arsenal.

Caretaker manager Chris Hughton has emphasised how much of a boost Beye's return will be to the side, in various interviews over the last few days.

He said last week;

"Habib is back in full training which is a huge boost. He is not only a good player but he's also a very good character around the place who is extremely popular. We will need people like Habib this season and we're delighted to have him back."

This week he added;

"For the rest of the lads to see someone of the quality of Habib Beye back in the squad gives everyone a lift. It's a big bonus to have him back."

Hughton Delighted At Beye Return

He's not the only one to be delighted.
We've certainly missed Beye.

Agreed, he's solid at the back and decent going forward. We have missed him there's no doubt about that.

Yeh me to - be very pleased to see him return - just hope he is fully fit and if he struggles at any time Hughton makes the decision at the right time to take him off (thats if he starts of course) rather than leave him be.
