Only 16% Polled Wanted Hughton Fulltime

Despite his recent appointment, 84% of those users who took the Tyne-Talk poll "Would you like to see Chris Hughton appointed as manager?" suggested that they would prefer to see someone else employed by the club on a full time basis. There is no question that Chris Hughton has the backing of the players, staff and fans as a caretaker manager/coach...........
.....but it would appear many felt that the managers post was not appropriate.
Just 16% of the 189 who voted in the poll, which went live 10 days ago, said they would like to see Hughton given the managerial role.

I voted yes and will be fully supporting him. I don't think a new manager would have been productive for the team.

Chris has done a good job. Under the circumstances I think he is the right man for the job.

I voted no. We could be promoted, and he'll be our manager in the PL. I don't think he can handle that.

The high majority of the fans wanted Shearer and I was one of them, the main reason was that he would rip the club apart and put it back togethor the right way. This has been needed to be done for years and still does. Chris has done a great job but it to much of a yes man and at the moment all we are doing is papering over the cracks.
It is not his fault as the situation he has and still is working under is a joke, only Paul Hart seems to be working in the same mess
