Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll is looking forward to taking three points from his former club Preston North End tomorrow afternoon, days after he hit his tenth goal of the season. Carroll who was on loan at Preston in 2007 told The Chronicle;
"It would be nice to score against Preston. For me, though, getting three points and another win would be the best outcome.
It does not matter who gets the goals, but of course I want to score more.
The only thing which will push us back into the Premier League is goals - and it does not matter where they come from.
We have five strikers here who are capable of getting them. We are lucky to have others in the team like Nobby (Kevin Nolan) who can score them as well."
He also spoke of the team performance against Swansea last week;
"At half-time it was not the best against Swansea. Things were said, but if we go behind we do not give up.
We have shown we have the fight to come back."

Routledge has had a huge impact, supplying goals for both Carroll and Lovenkrands. If Carroll finishes with 20, Lovenkrands with 15, we should be in good shape at the end of the season.
