Pre-Season Match Thread: Rangers v Newcastle TEAMS

Newcastle United have kicked off their final pre-season friendly ahead of next week's Premier League season kick off. Rangers play host at the Ibrox Park in what was a 1pm KO. With a team not too disimilar to that of last season, Coloccini, Enrique & Williamson all start as does Steve Harper & Andy Carroll. James Perch joins the starting 11 whilst R.Taylor, Lovenkrands and Xisco are on the bench.

McGregor; Broadfoot, Bougherra, Weir, Papac; Davis, Edu, McCulloch, Whittaker; Naismith; Miller

Alexander, Lafferty, Velicka, McMillan, Little, Shinnie, Wylde, Hutton, Campbell

NEWCASTLE UNITED

Anyone know why we do not have our players name on the back of their shirts and just a large white space instead?

Certainly don't see any explanation on the official site.

Playing Nolan as a striker...will be interesting to see how that turns out.

Its live on ESPN we arent playing well in my view. We will NOT even look like we have turned up with we play like this against Man U

Didnt see first half.

Perch went AWOL for the second goal.

Looked better going forward with Lovenkrands on. Unlucky not to at least draw.
