Newcastle United striker Lomana LuaLua is ready to quit St James' Park, according to The Daily Express. Instead of sending him out on loan, Sir Bobby will likely give him a fierce dressing-down and a fine.
LUALUA TO QUIT NEWCASTLE?
The paper said today that LuaLua has told boss Sir Bobby Robson that he is ready to quit Newcastle.
The DR Congo star believes that he is ready for regular Premiership action and is frustrated at the lack of opportunities he has been given this season at Newcastle.
HOWEVER...
Robson is furious that LuaLua has accused him of treating him "unfairly" and asked to be loaned out to get more regular first-team football.
The striker is understandable angry at the fact that he was left on the bench for Sunday's game at Chelsea - despite skipper Alan Shearer's abscence.
Having played just 24 minutes of Premiership action this season, LuaLua has insisted that his exclusion at the weekend was proof that Robson does not rate him.
But, with Michael Chopra ready to represent England at the World Under-20 Championships for a month, there is no way that Robson will alllow LuaLua to leave.
Instead of sending him out on loan, Sir Bobby will likely give him a fierce dressing-down and a fine.
