Brian Kerr has hailed Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given as "the best in Europe" after he kept another clean sheet on Tuesday night for the Republic (Who romped to a three nil win over Canada in Dublin).
SIMPLY THE BEST
Kerr said: "I thought Shay Given made two world-class saves against Canada. He's our Mr Reliability and we know we are in safe hands as we wait for the World Cup draw early next month. Indeed, I would say that Shay Given is as good a goalkeeper as there is in Europe at the moment."
