SIMPLY THE BEST

United manager Sir Bobby Robson has admitted that he is uncertain who to drop from the Newcastle side to accommodate a fit-again Jonathan Woodgate.

He is delighted with the recent form of central defenders Titus Bramble and Andy O'Brien who have played during Woodgate's lengthy injury absence, so the seemingly straightforward task of recalling Woodgate to his starting XI is going to be difficult.

SIR BOBBY: "Jonathan is a class act and any team would welcome him back. But I have got a difficult decision to make with regards to Titus and Andy now that he is fit again.

"Jonathan hasn't really been missed at all while he has been out - apart from at Chelsea - because the two lads who have been playing at centre-half have done very well indeed.

"I always felt that Titus and Andy would come good and prove themselves to be top Premiership performers.

"I suppose Jonathan's absence through injury has given them the chance to do just that.

"I think it's fair to say that we have got real competition in that position now and that can only be good for the club."
