Newcastle United skipper Alan Shearer has declared that the next six days could determine the rest of The Magpies' season.
SHEARERS WARNING
Shearer was pleased to take a point at Charlton on Saturday, but with the club's Champions League hopes still very much in the balance this season, he is warning that Newcastle CAN NOT miss out on points at Leciester on Boxing Day and at home to Blackburn two days later.
"While we know it's never easy in this league, we have a good opportunity to put some points on the board over Christmas," said Shearer.
"All the players know we let ourselves down by getting knocked out of the Champions League and we want to make sure we get back there.
"The way to do that is by finishing fourth and, although there's a competitive mini-league going on, we're confident we can win it."
