Robson Wants New Striker At Newcastle

ROBSON WANTS A STRIKER

Sir Bobby Robson is looking to sign at least one striker during the January transfer window.

Craig Bellamy, Shola Ameobi and Carl Cort are all injured and Newcastle have taken just one point from their festve games against Leicester and Blackburn. Kieron Dyer may even get a game up front in tomorrow's FA Cup third-round tie at Southampton.

Lomana LuaLua played at Leicester and full debutant Michael Chopra played against Blackburn Rovers, but neither could lead the Magpies to a victory.

Barcelona's Patrick Kluivert and Celtic's Henrik Larsson are among the names mentioned as possible targets for Robson, along with Leeds United's Alan Smith.
