Shearer Would Swap EVERYTHING For FA Cup Glory

SHEARER DESPERATE FOR MEDAL

Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer is desperate for a Toon victory today at Southampton in the FA Cup.

Shearer would swap all his success to lift the coveted FA Cup and knows time is short if he is to fulfil his dream. All he wants, is cup success at The Millennium Stadium.

SHEARER SAID: "Time isn't on our side for myself and the manager as regards to the football, so it's important we stay in the competition.

"This is my eighth FA Cup season with Newcastle. I have been to two finals and a semi-final with the club. But not to have won it is just not good enough.

"In fact I would swap everything for a winner's medal in the competition, I really would.

"And I know I have got only two more chances - this year and next - so I am on countdown."
