Monday is the date Lee Bowyer is counting on to reveal whether he will play again this season.

Former Leeds Utd star Bowyer will miss tonight’s Clash and has been out of the game with a hip injury since November 27th.

Sir Bobby Robson has said today that if the injury is so serious that Lee needs an operation “it means three months out and that will just about take care of the rest of his season, so you could say that Monday is his D-day.”

He then said that the operation would be similar to one undertaken by Roy Keane, which left him sidelined for three to four months.

However Alan Smith is out of the match against Newcastle tonight after being given a two-match ban starting immediately after deciding NOT to appeal against it!

Leeds start the game second from bottom whilst Newcastle aim to move closer to the top!
