Newcastle Plan £5M Form Chelsea's Eidur

EIDUR BID?

Reports today suggested that Sir Bobby Robson sees Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen as the ideal replacement for current Magpies' skipper Alan Shearer.

The Daily Express says that Robson is now convinced that the Icelander IS the right man to fill Shearer's boots.

It is believed that a bid of £5M will be made for Gudjohnsen at the end of the season.
