Not only did Solano (real name Nolberto Albino
Solano Todco) seem displeased but the toon fans did too.

The 7000 Newcastle Utd fans chanted the name of “Nobby Solano” in appreciation after the Peruvian midfielder was called off,

"He's the boss. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to be in the game, to be involved and maybe do more for the team but there is nothing I can do after I have been substituted."

However – the game played on and chances were created and chances were missed.

Sir Bobby claimed he needed someone “stronger” playing in the middle and Ameobi was the guy to provide the strength.

Despite the substitution Liverpool still managed to win the game and go through to the next round of the FA cup – while Newcastle prepare to cause havoc in the UEFA cup.
