Leeds United have signed Magpies' defender Stephen Caldwell on loan until the end of the season. The Scotland international has struggled to make a first-team impact making just 23 starts in six years with the Magpies. He is now 32-years-old and is looking to take his career further.

Caldwell spent the 2001-02 season at both Blackpool and Bradford City on loan and has made just four appearances for Newcastle so far this season.
He has played ONE international game for Scotland, which was back in April 2001 in their 1-1 friendly draw with Poland in Bydgoszcz.
