Robson Praises Magpies' Rebel Midfielder

HUGO PRAISED!

Viana was demanding a move away from St James' Park during January, but boss Robson insists that he is a great player and that he would pick him in any squad.

"I was happy with Hugo, he hugged the touchline well and produced some quality balls," said Robson.

"Hugo delivered good crosses and set-plays.

"He used the ball intelligently, he can spot passes well and he never let us down. He was trying to prove a point because he is always telling us he wants to play; we have now given him that opportunity and I think Hugo was effective."
