Bowyer Disappointed With UEFA Suspension

BOWYER "VERY DISAPPOINTED"

He said: "I am extremely disappointed with what has happened. I joined Newcastle to play football but feel I am being denied this. All I want to do is play and I can't believe this has happened or how it has occurred.

"I have only just come back from injury and managed to get on the bench for the Premiership game against Middlesbrough last weekend.

"I was certainly hoping to play some part in our UEFA Cup match.

"It was frustrating watching our Euro games from the sidelines earlier in the season but I knew I had to serve this ban.

"I feel I am the innocent party in all of this and just hope this can be resolved because I have already served the suspension."
