POMPEY WANT THREE - CHAPLOW UPDATE

Harper admitted last week that he is considering a move away from St James' Park, while Griffin is coming off contract.

MEANWHILE, manager Sir Bobby Robson is going to have chief scout Charlie Woods run the rule over Burnley midfielder Richard Chaplow this month.

SBR wants to give the England U21 international trials at the end of the season, but first wants Woods to give him the lowdown on the 18 year-old's ability to cope with Premiership life.

Chaplow carries a price-tag of £3 million and is currently being urged to move to the Premiership in order to maintain his impressive progress.
