BELLAMY SPEAKS AFTER MALLORCA VICTORY
|
The Welsh striker returned to action last night with a bang, as he bagged a goal to help United secure a 4-1 victory over Real Mallorca at St James' Park.
"I'm delighted to have scored again but I felt I could have grabbed at least another," said Bellamy.
"The way I play is getting in behind defenders and I always felt capable of doing that tonight, but it was great to get the first goal anyway and get the team going.
"It would have been nice to have got a couple of goals against Valerenga the previous week, but injury meant it wasn't to be.
"But I always felt I would get fit in time to face Mallorca."
Bellamy has now scored five times in his last six appearances since returning from long-term injury.
