Elliot: I Expected Magpies' Exit

ELLIOT EXPECTED OUT

Elliot has failed to make a first-team appearance this season but was recalled to the squad against Blackburn last month and is hoping that the callup was a sign of things to come.

Speaking to his Official Website, he explained: "It's funny how things work in football and it's been quite a turnaround over the last few weeks for me to get back into the first-team set-up.

"When the transfer window opened in January, there were a lot of players who left the club and I thought something may have happened for me then.

"As it turned out, it didn't but it's great to be involved again."
