Craig Bellamy was in the middle of a sensational bust up with Newcastle United coach John Carver. Much speculation has lead to several rumours involving the striker through the media and several rumour mills.
However despite NUFC’s best action to cover up the situation a spokesperson was reported saying that there had infact been a bit of pushing and showing but it all ended quickly and the pair are back working together.
It was ALLEGED that Craig Bellamy had originally thrown a chair at the clubs coach, which was quickly followed by a punch in Bellamy’s direction.
Freddy Shepherd was quick to restore calm amongst the Newcastle camp and after speaking with manager Sir Bobby Robson made the following statement
“As far as we are concerned, the matter is now closed and there will be no further action.
Football is a game full of passion and what may or may not have happened at Newcastle Airport happens every day in the schoolyard.
Craig Bellamy and John Carver are both back working together today and if you saw them at the training ground you would think they were the best of pals.”
As Newcastle United prepare to take on Real Mallorca in the 2nd leg of the Uefa Cup game fans will be pleased to hear the chairman dismissing the incident and the rumours surrounding it and instead concentrating on the match.
The media jumped on the opportunity to display the story after previous incident involving Craig Bellamy hit the headlines over the last few years including alleged common assault and alleged racial abuse as well as being a quarter of a group of players sent home from a Spanish training session in the Autumn.
