BELLAMY BUST-UP CONFIRMED - BUT PLAYED DOWN

An English paper reported that the two clashed in the airport as Newcastle prepared to fly out to Palma for their Uefa Cup fourth round second leg clash against Real Mallorca, and rumour had it that Bellamy threw a chair at Carver.
Club officials have admitted that there was a bust-up, but insisted that there would be no fall-out from the incident, despite Bellamy's previous off-field activities.
"It was a push and shove playground incident," said a spokesman for the club.
"They spoke last night and are the best of friends again.
"The club will be taking the matter no further and all that matters now is tomorrow night's game."
Bellamy has earned a reputation for losing his temper on and off the pitch, since joining the club from Coventry City back in 2001.
Last year, he received a one-match ban and a £5,000 pound fine for his conduct towards a referee in a game against Middlesbrough. He was twice banned for three matches by European body UEFA in 2003 after receiving red cards.
In October, the Welsh striker was fined a further £750 by Cardiff magistrates an incident outside a nightclub.
