Robson Defends "Wonderful" Midfielder Speed

ROBSON DEFENDS SPEED

Robson said: "Gary Speed is a wonderful professional for his club and country and he sets a marvellous example for people to follow.

"He may be 34, but you wouldn't have thought that given the effort he put into the Mallorca and Bolton games.

"For him to play like that in two matches in such a short space of time shows what time of person he is. At Bolton he was easily our eldest midfielder, but he was certainly our most lively.

"I think he sweats blood for this club."
