Newcastle United and DR Congo striker Lomana LuaLua has stated that he would like a permanent move to Portsmouth.

LuaLua is currently on loan at the club, and explained:

"I would like to stay here. I'm made to feel wanted at this club and I'm trying to repay everybody by helping to keep them in this Premier League. It is the only place to be."

Portsmouth boss, Harry Redknapp, has already stated his desire to keep hold of LuaLua.

Redknapp said: "I think Lua Lua could be very important to us. He's a real threat when he's in the mood.

"He frightens defenders when he picks the ball up and runs with it. When he's on his game he's a handful for anybody.

"He's got pace and bags of tricks. He runs at people and commits people. He's scored two league goals in three starts for us.

"I like him, I've always liked him. He's strong and unpredictable.

"I would like to keep him if we stay up, for sure.
"

There was an interesting story in the Sun recently, about LuaLua, but you can read that for yourself here - bearing in mind that it was in the Sun...
