Nobby To Miss Newcastle Game

NOBBY STRUGGLING

Sources close to Aston Villa have revealed that former Newcastle United winger Nolberto Solano, is struggling to make his return game!

Nolberto Solano has been absent from the Villa squad for nearly four weeks now after he sustained a hamstring injury in Villa's match against Blackburn.

Villa's next game would see Nolberto Solano face up against his old team which should cause a stir as at the time Newcastle fans were furious that "Nobby" had left the club... and for so cheaply!

The Peruvian left St James' Park for a measly £1.5 million and since joining the Villa Park based club, has performed well.

Nobby has been participating in light training sessions in a bid to overcome the injury, but is yet to join in with the rest of the squad.

A Villa spokesman said:

"We know that Nobby would dearly love to play in the game against Newcastle on Sunday, because he has a great affinity with their fans.

"It would mean a lot to him to be fit and available, but it is a bit too early to say and could be a bit touch and go. The manager will be assessing his fitness later in the week."
