With the Quarterfinals out of the way it’s the semi finals which are looming ahead and that’s the issue we should be dealing with, not what to do when we get to the finals.
With the Quarterfinals out of the way it’s the semi finals which are looming ahead and that’s the issue we should be dealing with, not what to do when we get to the finals.
Nothing is guaranteed in football and Sir Bobby Robson knows that better than the rest of us yet he is still pleased that the prospect if silverware isn’t too far ahead.
" We have Marseille to play over two legs and they've just knocked out Inter Milan, so we're not thinking about finals.
We're one complete round, two games, away from it.”
Sir Bobby also believes that it will be a close tie and that there wont be a lot in the end result.
"It will be the same as this tie, one goal difference probably between the two teams. They've knocked out a fine side in Inter Milan, won home and away, and you can't beat that."
On Gary Speeds Winning goal Robson praised his long serving Midfielder
"He climbed very high and buried it. He's been doing that all of his career, but I guess that will be one of the best goals he's scored and one of the most important."
You have to take the hurdles as they come and to jump too far ahead isn’t always the right thing to do.
Sir Bobby Robson said
“Marseille will present a difficult hurdle,
Marseille have knocked out a fine team in Inter Milan by winning home and away and you can't do any better than that.
I sent Charlie Woods to watch their first leg last week and he thought that they were tremendous, he liked them very much and said they could have won 4-0, so we would have been happy to see Inter go through.
It's a hostile place to go, they will have 65,000 there and it will not be easy; Marseille is a cauldron.
