Shepherd: Mourinho? NO! Geordie? YES!

According to sources close to the club, Newcastle United chairman Freddy Shepherd is not interested in bringing a foreign manager to replace Sir Bobby Robson - and by the sounds of it, only wants to see a Geordie as boss.

It is believed that Shepherd has ruled out the posibility of Jose Mourinho replacing Robson and is believed to only be determined to see a fellow Geordie as manager (once Robson retires of course!).

Speaking to the Evening Chronicle, a source close to the club said: "Unless Jose Mourinho can prove he has a Geordie granny, he can forget it."
