Lua-Lua debate

What does the future hold for Lua-Lua? Pompey and Newcastle can't seem to agree on a fee.

The Future of Lua-Lua is still in the balance as Portsmouth and Newcastle are unable to agree on a suitable fee for the former Colchester man.

Lua-Lua cost the Toon £2.25m, a fee they are unlikely to recoup. Pompey value Lua-Lua at around £1m, a fee Newcastle are unlikely to settle for.

Newcastle are believed to want at least £2m pounds for the player, and it's now a matter of if Pompey will up their offer. It would be fair to say that both clubs will probably meet each other half way, and that this is all part of the bartering process.

It's quite clear that the players future lies away from the Club. No one can blame Pompey for not wanting to up the £1.2m they are offering. They could well lose Yakubu this summer, and would not want to splash out so much cash on one player when they may need to rebuild their strike force.

This one looks set to rumble on...
