Newcastle United striker Lomana LuaLua, speaking from Africa, has stated: "I’d be delighted to be a Portsmouth player next season"

The 23-year-old DR Congo international has however, also stated that going back to St James' Park is also on the cards.

Despite angering Toon boss Sir Bobby Robson last month by ignoring a call to cut short his loan at Portsmouth in order to play for Newcastle’s in thier away-leg of the UEFA Cup semi-final against Marseille (which Newcastle went on to lose), LuaLua said:

“I’d be delighted to be a Portsmouth player next season. Equally, I would not have a problem with going back to Newcastle.

“Hopefully the matter will be sorted out in the next 10 days.”

Do you want him back? Would you care if he stayed at Pompey? Let us know!
