Michael Bridges, who was recently released by Newcastle United, is currently pondering over where his next move should be. The injury-plagued forward spent more time with the physio than with the first-team squad last season and he is looking to end this trend and get back to first team football as soon as possible.

Bolton Wanderers and Fulham are both reported to be showing interest in him- with the lower league options being recently relegated Leicester City and fellow First Division outfit the Mackems. Despite him being a former player of the enemy, they would be sure to welcome him on Wearside as they just cannot deny his quality.

In other news, Kieron Dyer participated in just 13 minutes of England's international with Japan on Tuesday night, which was the penultimate warm-up game before Euro 2004. This leaves the player with only one more game to prove himself to Sven if he wishes to play a key role in this summer's tournament.
