Its seems that not all publicity is good publicity for the likes of David Beckham and Michael Owen. Euro 2004, which saw England sent home after a disallowed goal and some dodgy penalties has also had a reverse effect on the star players.

Euro 2004, which saw England sent home after a disallowed goal and some dodgy penalties has also had a reverse effect on the star players.

Today reports claim that the value of players has gone down.

Before they set off for Euro 2004 Beckham and Owen were worth 20M in the Transfer stakes compared to their return - where Beckhams value dropped by 10M and Owens by 5M. Scholes also dropped 2M to 8M.

However not all is lost as players who excelled themselves in the tournament saw their value shoot up. Sol Campbell went into Euro 2004 valued at 15M and returned at 20M whereas Evertons Super Striker saw his value increase by 15M to 35M. As did Cole who gained an added 8M to his transfer value.

Keiron Dyer who Travelled to Portugal but didnt feature much remains the same as do players such as James, Lampard, and Terry.
