French Deal Completed

Sir Bobby Robson has completed the signing of 18 year old midfielder Charles N'Zogbia from Le Harve. The French youngster who spent the summer training with the Newcastle camp

Sir Bobby Robson has completed the signing of 18 year old midfielder Charles N'Zogbia from Le Harve.

The French youngster who spent the summer training with the Newcastle camp impressed Sir Bobby Robson so much that he took action and brought him to the club for a compensation fee of £250,000.

"We have worked very hard to complete this deal and there was a lot which had to be done over the weekend,"

The deal was similar to that of which brought Olivier Bernard to Newcastle and United had to be sure to cut all ties with his former club to prevent any complications over money later on in his career.

"I'm absolutely delighted that we have signed one of the most talented young players in Europe and I'm certain that he will go on and prove to be a great asset to this football club."

However N’Zogbia will not participate in tonight’s friendly against Celtic as he is yet to receive his international clearance. He has yet to be unveiled but will be at later date.
