Hasslebaink's Goal Makes Robson One Unhappy Man

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink used his hand to put the ball into the back of the net in the 90th yesterday as Boro came twice from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at the Riverside in their opening game of the season. Manager Sir Bobby Robson was far from pleased!

Newcastle United manager Sir Bobby Robson said:

"Their second goal was very questionable. Kieron Dyer slipped and Zenden got in behind and got in a good cross through a lot of players.

"He (Hasselbaink) was between Olivier Bernard and Shola Ameobi, and missed it with his head and knocked it in with his hand.

"We are winning 2-1 away from home and need every decision, but they got out of jail.

"It was a good open game, both teams had a go and they never gave up after twice going behind.

"We did this so many times last year when winning games and giving it away.

"It was a classic derby - nip and tuck, everybody nip and everybody tuck - but we are disappointed to lose it. You are winning 2-1 away from home and you've got to win it."
