Sheperd-ing us to the Football League!

A collection of quotes from Fat Fred, the one who promises so much but delivers so little:

June 2004: "You don't sack Sir Bobby Robson."

July 2004: "It would cost Arsenal £30 million + Henry and Vieira to buy Woodgate. Jonathan Woodgate will leave St. James' Park over my dead body."

August 2004: "Fans will be pleasantly surprised at what comes from the Woodgate deal. We didn't go into the transfer without a long term plan. All will be revealed soon."

So here we are in September, with Robson sacked, Woodgate sold, and no players coming in since Woodgate left. Add to this the frankly embarassing Rooney saga, Fat Fred's history of slagging off the fans and the women of the city, and the lack of transfer activity over the 18 months before this summer when we desperately needed strengthening, but instead chose to drop away from the top 3, and you have one fat man who should be out of a job, but isn't.

Please feel free to try and start a chorus of 'Sack the Board' or 'Sheperd Out' at the next home game, although his refusal to think about a singing section will probably mean that none of the old grannies or posh t|ts around you will join in.
