Former Magpies' manager Sir Bobby Robson could be set for a return to his beloved Ipswich Town, where he spent 13 years - during which he led them to both FA and UEFA Cup glory. Although he was relieved from his duties at SJP, Robson, aged 71, claims he is not ready to retire just yet.

Ipswich Town chairman David Sheepshanks told the clubs Official website:

"No, I am not ruling it out but I am not ruling it in either. I have thought about it and I'm sure the supporters here have had the same thoughts.

"I would imagine Bobby will be weighing up all sorts of opportunities and there have been reports of FA interest as well.

"There would be many factors to take into consideration and I'm sure we will think about it again and if one day it was appropriate, then wouldn't it be lovely."
