Kieron Dyer has today been linked with high-flying Chelsea in a deal which could see Newcastle United land Robert Huth.
Dyer who has been injured for 9 games due to a hamstring problem is looking forward to start training again this week and is expected to make the reserve team next week.
Despite Kieron joining the magpies in 1999 from Ipswich he has gained a reputation with the press and well Dyer isn’t exactly flavour of the month with the Newcastle fans, it seems that Shepherd isn’t too worried about the 25 year old midfielder’s departure either.
At only 25 he has a long career ahead of him as long as he stays on the right path and doesn’t stray too often. Maybe Jose Mourinho can set him on the straight and narrow – with his zero tolerance programmes and his strict team regime? Who knows!
Even though this may only people gossip set to cause a stir amongst fans there seems to be a growing number of fans thinking Dyer could be removed and replaced.
What do you have to say on the matter? Are you really bothered whether he stays or goes or would you rather see someone with a better attitude to the game replace him and give the team the attention it needs? Someone who isn’t going to stand looking like a teapot in front of the goal has the ability to create on the pitch?
