Graeme Souness is prepared to battle his way to the next round of the Carling cup in a bid to pursue success. And has told his players to do the same.
Souness who was sent to the stands against Fulham and is receiving a charge for improper conduct and has 14days to appeal said;
"I would like to think my players still feel as frustrated and angry as I do,
I'm frustrated and angry and I want to have a fight with someone or go out and kick a water bottle,
I'm no doubt going to get marched off to the Tower and the keys thrown away,"
The former Blackburn Rovers manager had claimed that his Newcastle side are looking forward to the challenge.
Meanwhile he isn’t the only manager to have been in the spotlight in the last two weeks. Jose Mourinho has made his name as the bad guy at Chelsea by playing a huge part in the sacking of Adrian Mutu after his sensational admission to taking cocaine whilst laid off injured.
Mutu has also this week questioned Mourinhos motive after his taking.
“I will always have a problem with a coach who doesn’t let me play for my national team.
As a coach, Mourinho is very good but as a person, I have a big question mark about him."
