With John O’Shea having problems staying in Manchester United’s first team he has become yet another player being linked to Newcastle United to add to the ever increasing list.
Souness, in need of a solid defence appears to have been keeping tabs on the 23 year old and hopes to sign him in the January transfer window.
The Rep Of Ireland International has been dropped in favour of Rio Ferdinand at old Trafford and regular first team football may sound quite appealing else where. However it seems he has said in the past he is happy where he is and Sir Alex Ferguson has also passed comment that he is not keen to sell.
