Palace 0 - 2 Newcastle: Ian Dowie Comments

IAN DOWIE:

"I was just disappointed with the manner of our performance. We did not pass the ball or want it enough, and there was no slickness, which there has been of late. We did not show enough ambition to win the game.

"I can't remember too many passing moves which brought us much success - we needed to be braver and bolder, and we weren't.

"That is now three lacklustre performances now after international week and we need to address that.

"We will now go to Southampton next week, which is a key game and there is no question it [survival] is going to rely on how you do against the teams around you.

"We may have gone down there with a little bit more comfort if we had performed how we could have done today."
