Ahead of tomorrow's clash with Everton at St James' Park, Toffees defender Alessandro Pistone has spoken. The left-back knows that his side, who have had a cracking start to the season, will be in for a tough time tomorrow as Newcastle's attack is sure to test out thier back-line.

Everton currently lie in a Champions League place, and Pistone said:

"It will be hard to keep this position, but as long as you know you can do it - and we have played virtually everybody now - we know what we can achieve.

"We will have to play well at Newcastle, though. They have fine midfielders and forwards and they can create many, many chances. They have been unlucky with some results so we know this will be a hard one.

"They may not have Alan Shearer but they have Craig Bellamy and Patrick Kluivert and plenty of others who can step in."
