Argentinian striker Roberto Nanni has been linked with a move to Newcastle United. The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Almeria in the Spanish second division, having failed to settle into Dynamo Kiev (who broke thier transfer record for the player).

Nanni has netted five times in three games for his Spanish side, and could well join them on a permanent basis.  Nanni though, would like to consider all other options, one being a move to Newcastle United.

Quoted on Sky Sports, Nanni said:

"The problems that I had with the language in Ukraine and the motivation that Almeria has for winning something made me come to the Spanish Second Division.

"I am loaned until June 2005 with an option of making it permanent but I will also analyse the offers that could arrive.

"In the last few hours I have been told about the interest that Newcastle has in me so I will wait to see what happens in the future.

"It could be a good chance of improving in my career by playing in England but at the moment I have to think only about Almeria."
