Jean-Alain Boumsong has always looked liked leaving Rangers, says the player's agent, Willie McKay. From the moment he joined the Glasgow giants from Auxerre, it has been destined that the the French international moves on.
The 25-year-old moved to Ibrox on a free in the summer and McKay said: "He (Boumsong) was always destined to move on, but, whether it is this season or next, it will be a good bit of business for Rangers.
"You have to applaud Rangers manager Alex McLeish and chairman David Murray for signing him.
"Because I know how good a player he is and so do they.
"I think that if they get £7m or £8m for him, then they can do a lot to strengthen other departments as there are lots of good players available."
