It is believed that Portuguese giants Benfica are chasing Sir Bobby Robson to take over from Giovanni Trapattoni at the end of the season.
The former Newcastle United boss, who was sacked by the Magpies' earlier in the season, will be 72 in February and Benfica believe he is the man to take them forward - having already managed in Portugal with both Sporting Lisbon and Porto.
Giovanni Trapattoni looks like he will be replaced at the end of the season, and if Robson was to take over, it is believed that he will want former assistant John Carver at his side.
Carver is currently coaching Newcastle's Academy kids.
* As an update to this, the story is all over todays Portuguese press. They are confident Robson will go to Benfica, and take Carver.
