‘The Sun’ reports that Newcastle are poised to offer a deal to 18-year-old striker, Cierco.

The Portuguese forward was been on trial at Tyneside recently and has impressed, scoring 5 goals in a training match.

The youngster is currently contracted to Sporting Braga in Portugal who would be willing to let him go if a reasonable offer came in.

Braga are expected to push for a good price as the striker only signed a long-term contract last year.

The youngster will be a hot prospect for the Magpies, who have legend Alan Shearer retiring at the end of the season. Out-on-loan Michael Chopra’s current deal expires in the summer and if he is offered no new deal Newcastle would be left with just the 3 forwards.
