Newcastle United striker Craig Bellamy is on his way to Birmingham City. A £6M fee has been agreed, following this weeks row with manager Graeme Souness.

The 25-year-old Welsh striker accused his boss of 'lying' over the reasons he was left out of the squad at Arsenal.

Bellamy, who started his career at Norwich City, was fined two weeks' wages.

A Newcastle spokesman said: "Birmingham have been given permission to talk to the player."

Souness said: "He has been a disruptive influence from the minute I walked into this football club.

"He can't go on television and accuse me of telling lies."
