England international Kieron Dyer feels he needs to score more goals at Newcastle United, as the club seek to boost a disappointing season in the league.

Although Newcastle knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup, and are still in the UEFA Cup, their league campain this season has been of great dissapointment - with the club currently lying in 12th place.

KIERON DYER: "I haven't scored enough goals in my career.

"It's a criticism which has been levelled at me for some time.

"I've got to be more selfish - it's a mental thing.

"But scoring in the last two games has given me greater self-belief."
