Celestine Babayaro is the victim of a mystery knee injury having played just 8 Newcastle United since January he once again misses out tonight.

The former Chelsea star suffered from the unexplainable injury for a while now yet neither of the two separate specialists who have both undertaken all the necessary tests and scan have been able to come up with an explanation.

Babayaro is now facing an operation to delve further into the problem in a bid to solve the mystery.

Souness Says:

"Although he was down at the training ground for the first time on Tuesday he still says he feels a wee bit of pain in that. There's been two separate scans, two separate specialists and they've found nothing.

Ultimately it will need an operation to see what's going on inside his knee."
