Bare Bones: The Injury List

Newcastle are down to the bare bones so much that only 16-men are available for the Fulham game.

Babayaro is out with a recurring knee injury and is not expected back this season.

Bramble has a groin strain and like Babayaro, but is expected to be back to fitness for the last game of the season against Chelsea on the 15th May.

Butt, thankfully for some Newcastle fans, has strained his calf muscle and is another one who may not feature again this campaign.

Dyer’s hamstring is playing up again and so will definitely not feature in any of Newcastle’s remaining games.

Elliot is the most recent casualty with a thigh strain and is battling for fitness to appear in any of Newcastle’s remaining games.

Hughes has a hernia and like so many of the Magpies players, will not be back for any pof the remaining fixtures.

Jenas has a calf strain and like Bramble, is expected to be back for the final game of the season against Champions Chelsea.

Lee Bowyer is still suspended for one more game leaving Newcastle with just 16 players for a 16-man squad.
