Bellamy to Blues?

Birmingham City are considering making a fresh approach for Newcastle striker, Craig Bellamy.

The welsh-forward will almost definitely leave the club this summer but has already snubbed a move to Aston Villa.

Villa’s local rivals Birmingham did make an approach in January, but the striker turned them down in favour of a loan move to Celtic.

Birmingham City Managing Director Karren Brady said:

No, only a fool would do that (rule out a move for Bellamy). I think we would in this period of the year as the board serve Steve (Bruce),"

"He says what players he would like and it's absolutely our responsibility to deliver those players as best we can.

"There will be some we all like, but cannot afford and some we know some way or another we can make it work and we will make it work if we can."
