Newcastle United target and Israeli international Yossi Benayoun, has agreed a deal with CSKA Moscow, after no firm offers had materialised from The Premiership.

Agent Gustavo Crmko revealed: "If the proposition is good enough, then Yossi is prepared for the Russian adventure.

"For him it will be a great challenge to demonstrate his quality."

Crmko would have liked his player to play in England however, and admitted: "Several clubs asked for information but in the end nobody presented a concrete proposition.

"It is an unhappy situation because I am convinced Benayoun could have done well in The Premiership."
